MARS HABITAT
Space has always been a great inspiration for us. It makes us wonder, curious, and a scare. It catches our eyesight to giveback magnificent artistic works, poems, novels, movies, and music. As much as beautiful, Space is full of darkness, emptiness, and loneliness. That makes us strive to explore more by the motive of our nature: the love of exploration and curiosity.
Scientists and artists have always dreamed of a new home on another planet, imagined anonymous cosmic events destroy Earth or a serious pandemic where Earth became a dead planet, or even biological/atomic wars can affect on Earth's life cycle.
However, thinking about a backup place is a great ambition, us, becoming a multi-planetary species that will make the future more exciting and charming, and the most important surviving the humankind. That also what SpaceX aiming to achieve in their 2030 vision!. Elon Musk -founder- attempting to send astronauts to Mars even before that. Mars or the red planet seems to be very welcoming comparing to the other neighbor planets. Despite all of the deadly and harsh atmosphere on the surface, it still can be manageable to live on with today and future technology. The high possibility of water existence makes it even more friendly to us. Gravity, Air pressure, temperature, day/night all of these conditions slightly matching our needs to survive.
Fantasizing about Space Architecture and how different it could be on Mars considering the whole different circumstances, environment, Air pressure, gravity, cosmic rays, structure, materials... etc. Comparing that with the technology we hold today, the most rational way to build a habitat on Mars seems to be the 3D printing technology, using artificial intelligence, shaped in robotics printing machines.  This Technology will use Mars's sand as base material mixed with Basalt fiber extracted from Mars' rocks, and bioplastic from the mission wastes.

Mars habitat is a story that will start on the first day on Mars. Taking advantage of Mars craters to print out the first habitat, forming a secure and warm shell for the early four arrivals after a very long journey, and this is only the beginning. Later on, another four Martians will arrive, and another habitat will be printed in the same crater beside the first one along with the carter range. That naturally creates space in between habitats, space will be constructed to hold a small forest that provides social/agriculture ecosystem. This forest accessible from inside the habitat unite. Using the same 3D printing technology with a lighter composition to build a structural system that can carry the transparent fiber on the top, that will allow the filtered sunlight to reach and light up the forest. The whole process will be replicated until the cater patched.

Based on studies that have been made by psychologists, isolation is a serious issue that can cause several mental health problems. Loneliness, depression, homesickness, memory puzzles... etc. Mars isolated environment can cause all of these harmful mental health concerns. Mars habitat interior spaces designed to create an interactive system. Using the minimum dimension that one person requires to avoid large spaces and isolation. All of the interior spaces are connected by openings that allow all the users to stay in touch and communicate all day/night time.

Unite accessible form the top of the crater, leading to the airlock room, then to Space suites and equipment room and booth rooms are secure to avoid Air pressure different explosion.
Living space starts from a top-level where the main interactive space contains a multi-used open space for exercising, live, relax, video games, and movie home theater, with daylight falling form the top. A floor below that, sleeping spaces designed to share a common space in the middle with high transparency between the inside and the outside. Virtual reality rooms also based on the same floor, they designed to project terrestrial visuals, smells and sounds to keep the mental health in good states. The lower floor contains lab, food preparation and eating space, toilet, cleaning spaces, and recycle generator room. All spaces are lighted up from glassed openings on the facade surrounding the space with natural filtered sunlight.
Mars habitat is a social, agricultural habitable system. All units and forests work together to present a community on Mars.
